From November 19th to 22nd , Han Linhan, President of Guangxi University, led a delegation to Thailand for visit and exchange. The delegation visited the Chinese Embassy in Thailand, Suan Dusit University, the representatives of teachers from the Confucius Institute at Suphanburi, and also participated in relevant meetings of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Technical Committee 71 (ISO/TC 71).
Minister Wu Zhiwu and Counselor Xu Lan of the Chinese Embassy in Thailand received the delegation, and listened to Mr. Han Linhai's report on talent cultivation, academic research, cultural exchanges, and other issues between Guangxi University and Thai universities, government sectors and scientific institutions. They fully affirmed the internationalized development strategy of Guangxi University of "Deeply Cultivating ASEAN and Facing the World" and the outstanding achievements of GXU in serving China-ASEAN development. They expressed that they would strongly support GXU to carry out education and teaching for foreign students in Thailand, the construction of Confucius Institute at Suphanburi and cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries, and also hoped that Guangxi University would continue to serve the construction of the "the Belt and Road" and the overall diplomatic situation of the country. Han Linhai stated that Guangxi University would carry out deeper exchanges and cooperation with Thailand in education, science and technology, culture, talent exchange and other fields based on its own characteristics and advantages, striving to make new breakthroughs in standardization, regional technology and socio-economic development, and contribute wisdom and strength to the construction of a closer China-ASEAN community with a shared future.

Dr. Pitauk Chancharoen, Executive President of Suan Dusit University, met with the delegation of our university and had discussions and exchanges on talent cultivation, discipline construction, academic research, and other aspects. Han Linhai stated that Guangxi University and Suan Dusit Rajabhat University have jointly built Confucius Institutes as a platform, and have gone through 18 years of cooperation. He hoped that the two universities could further strengthen their ties, create more space in cooperative education, scientific research, cultural promotion, and jointly cultivate international talents that serve China-ASEAN development. Dr. Pitauk Chancharoen welcomed the delegation and stated that Suan Dusit University organized teachers and principals of surrounding primary and secondary schools to study and exchange at Guangxi University every year, forming a good interactive relationship and establishing a deep friendship. She hoped to further deepen cooperation and exchanges with our university in the future, jointly cultivate high-level talents for ASEAN, promote the common development of the two universities, and achieve more fruitful results. After the meeting, the delegation visited the campus of Suan Dusit University and the flight attendant training base. During the visit, Han Linhai visited the teachers and students of the Su Pan Confucius Institute and expressed sincere concern for their learning, living, and working conditions in Thailand.
The delegation had an exchange meeting with Suan Dusit University
The delegation participated in the academic exchange meeting and series of working meetings of the 29th plenary session of ISO/TC 71. The plenary session of Steel-concrete Composite Structures and Hybrid Structures Subcommittee ISO/TC 71/SC 9, which was affiliated with our university, was also successfully held and achieved productive results. During the meeting, the delegation had extensive and in-depth exchanges with experts from various participating countries.
